decafjavaMay 2, 09:16 AMJust a quick question, is it possible to sync 2 iPhones on 1 computer? I have a friend who has an old computer that is on the fritz and she wanted to sync and backup her phone on another computer til she gets a new one. I read iphones can only be synced to one computer at a time but was wondering if you could sync another phone as a temporary solution-especially if you login as another user. Would it be different for Mac and PC?

Big D 51Apr 23, 07:18 AMUnfortunately there aren't any docking stations for the macbook air, infact the only docking station for any mac laptop is a port replicator for the MBP. I beileve that there is a stand somewhere, but I personally don't see the need, hopefully thunderbolt will bring some interesting options. That is if its included in the next MBA.

A friend of mine has offered to sell me his macbook pro and i am considering it. However I know very little and have only had dell laptops in the past.
It is a 13'' duo core 2.4gh ddr3 ram with 320gb . He will also give me mac office. He is asking for �800.
Im wondering if this is worth the money as it is the duo core and my Dell has the i7 technology. To be honest I dont even know what this means. I just want a decent laptop that will not be slow and outdated in a year!
I would be using it for work-im a teacher.
Any advice would be great thanks!!

madsketcherApr 21, 03:14 PMEver since I installed USB Overdrive on my imac last night, my mouse has been clicking randomly whenever I move it. This is making it a REAL pain to do ANYTHING, especially considering that I'm a graphic designer and need a STABLE mouse. This thing just clicks, the scroll button clicks, and the right button clicks... whenever I'm moving it. It's incredibly frustrating and I don't know how to change it. I'm scared to move the mouse over ANY files because it will just drag things randomly or open things that I didn't want it to open. Seriously annoying!
I've uninstalled USB Overdrive - that didn't help. Switching to another USB drive didn't help. And I'm worried that buying a new mouse won't fix it. What do I do? I don't want to have to back up my entire computer and reset it just to fix the damn problem.
I have a 24 inch imac with Intel and the standard wired mouse that comes with it.

DevocJan 1, 11:19 AMYou could try to set up a temporary ad-hoc if you only need to do it once or at least not simultaneously with an internet connectivity option... It gets complicated then. Given that you have a mac there is some software from Apple that allows sharing of optical drives wirelessly. I even think it is built in Snow Leopard.

Two things that are sort of unlikely, but worth considering:
1) If this happens often enough, can you get someone else to try it? If you have many calluses on your fingers, or something like this, then sometimes this will interfere with the trackpad functioning.
2) The trackpad also will behave erratically or not at all if it gets wet.
But barring those things, if this happens in Linux, it sounds as if there is something wrong with your hardware. :(

You sound a bit confused. First you want the PS3 to be the server, then you supply a link that deals with making a Mac a media server, then you claim that there is no point in having a server... :confused:
If you want to view media (that is stored on a Mac) on a PS3, the Mac is the media server, not the PS3. And that sounds exactly like what the OP wanted.

Yes. You can do that now with Snow Leopard client provided you have new enough install discs. I think you need 10.6.3.
