foofanMar 8, 06:42 AMthis has happened to me too. it occurs when your mac connects with an open wifi connection, like my neighbor's, and their mac is turned on too. They probably can also see your name too. make sure wifi is turned off, or see if you can change settings so it doesnt connect to the first open wifi it finds.

the first time this happened to me, their mac was open to sharing too. I started listening to some of their music in itunes. I thought it was cool, until i realized they might be looking at my files too, so i turned everything off

Just bought a G3 700mhz and a G4 tower 450mhz. They aren't terribly slow but slow enough to where I want to clean them up a little bit. I have the free version on cocktail and XSlimmer (which only allows up to 50mb of defrag capabilities).

I know that Macs "never need to be defragged" but I am just wondering if there are free tools comparable to XSlimmer?

Im running 10.4.11 so would running a software update help out at all?

You can upgrade to 4.3 anytime you want.

Now, you want to Jailbreak 4.3 that is another history, If you are on the iPad you can use Pwnage tool that is currently a tethered jailbreak, if you are on the iPad2, then you cannot currently JB.

If those are the "only" SHSH you are showing, them if you want to go back to your current firmware (4.2.1) you won't be able to, all you can go back to is 4.3 betas and 4.2GM. (base on the SHSHs you said you had)

If you want to be able to Reboot and keep your Jailbrea, you need to wait tight for abit until a untethered JB is release

Something like the "Sprite Something" app for iPad? I have tried Photoshop/CS5, but its a real pain to create with and doesn't seem to be able to do very low-res, basic retro/pixel-block design.

You can still ignore people you don't like in your head, that's what I do all the time. We are all entitled to have our own opinion, so if you don't like someone's opinion, just ignore it. The worst thing to do is to reply to "troll" posts since that is just fuel for the fire.

Great. I wanted to play online with my Nintendo DS, but it can only understand WEP security, not WAP, and I'm not going to turn my basestation back to WEP.

Agreed. BUT, surely someone who would be becoming a high-profile employee/partner of Apple will have some clause in his contract stating he can't do certain things...i.e, Being in a Microsoft commercial.
