If I can be a pig and ask for a little more advice. I'd like to show an example of what I've been doing for a client who owns a music studio/music school. They have me design cd packaging for their artists, that they then send to Oasis for print. The one on the right has already gone to print and the artist was very happy with the end result. The one on the left is near finished. I'm ashamed to say I charged the same low hourly figure for this work as well. What do you think this kind of work is worth; if I may ask? Thanks :)
The blue lettering is way too strong and doesn't match the constipated look of the artist. I expect the constipated look is actually supposed to be serious grandpa gangster, but the fonts are way too blunt in form and color and make his awkward portrait look that much more, well, awkward, because they don't provide any atmosphere. Also, if your crop marks are correct, the inside edge of the song roster on the back is in serious risk of falling into the fold, and the gray spine isn't wide enough.
The sunset-fields cover looks overly flat and has no dynamism despite the calligraphic title and fantasy world circle. The pieces on the cover look like oil and water - standing apart, not mixing, not supporting one another.

well the 2684s take much longer for me to complete. on top of that, i wasn't home when the power outages hit, so it took awhile to get everything back up and running. and then another power outage...
yeah i have my ps3 folding when i'm not using it.
I usually just use my PS3 guess I should ramp it up then? Running full throttle on MBP i7 for a while! Using laptop on my lap.... the pain it burns! Ah my legs on fire!
yeah might as well fold with your ps3 when you aren't using it. yeah i wouldn't use that mbp on your lap

Blank September 2010 CalendaralphaoneMar 5, 03:31 PMSo after spending all morning putting the beast together, it's ALIVEEEEEEE! It's currently installing windows. Only things so far is that the power led isn't lighting up on the case (probably just plugged it in backwards on accident, will have to look at that), and the cpu temps seemed a little high. They were like 40C in the bios which seems high, we'll have to see how it is once everything is installed and running as it should. Bios may need to be updated too but I don't know yet.
Edit: Now that windows is installed it looks like the cpu is idling at 27C. Sweet! Now if only I can coax my old usb wireless network thingy to work. It works, except it's very very very slow even though it says 54mbps. It was sometimes doing that with my old computer too.. It may be dying. I've had terrible luck with wireless network access on windows.
Edit2: USB wireless adapter is definitely fubar.. oh well, ordered a new pci card for the computer. Been updating and testing this thing all day, and I'm very impressed with it. It can be absolutely silent at idle and barely audible with the cpu fan at max. Overclocked it to 4.4 by setting the max multiplier to x44, and left the vcore on auto. Set the smart fan target to 60C and let it go. It maintains it no problem at load. Been stress testing for a while and it's totally stable so far. It's almost insulting to me how easy it was to overclock this thing, complete child's play. I didn't even have to go into the bios (thank you UEFI).

I thought you had gotten rid of the dock but kept the apps and whatnot and just had a black strip(geektool pic probably). Didn't realize that the dock just blended in with the black strip.

Especially since you can't drive fast here anyway.
There is hope. One example: I'm no SUV fan, but the new Ford Explorer features engine choices (particularly the turbo 4 cylinder) that should significantly improve fuel economy over previous models. It's at least a small step in the right direction.

Of course not this is ignorant knee jerk city here. Most people don't even buy their phones like this, so this impacts a relatively small number of people. The people it probably impacts the most are those gaming the systems for the phones.

I can see where this view comes from. Many times I've heard Americans complain that Europeans "look down their noses at them" and "maybe they would understand when planes fly into some of their buildings". However, when the US response to a disaster is detention and torture what do you expect? The US has lost the moral high ground, and these human rights violations only serve to encourage more people to fight against the US.
It times of difficulty many governments bend the rules, and it is how the courts and the public respond that matters. In the UK we detained some people, but they started a court case and won. We had a report of MI6 feeding questions to Moroccan security forces to get them to get information out of someone. However, MI6 was tripping over itself to say they don't condone torture and the courts constantly ruled more information on the subject should be released.
Detention without trial and torture are the methods used by dictatorships and authoritarian regimes, and the world will always look down on the US government so long as they are used.
Guess the world will just have to look down on us then. The US actually has a pair of balls, and we do what we need to do, unlike Europe who's militaries are a joke. Shooting bin laden while he was unarmed?? Seriously?? Who gives a crap? That's like being against shooting hitler while he was unarmed. They still get attacked by terrorists, even sweden, go figure. Moral superiority or not, safety of our nation and other western nations is more important. If torture is needed to get that information and save thousands of lives, then we should do it. Someone has to do the dirty work, and it's always us. But that's ok, that's how it's always been and it's why we're such a proud nation.
